PGC Metal Bridge (PGC-MB)

The PGC Metal Bridge (PGC-MB) design has been developed to formulate molecules which have significant affinity for metal atoms. The PGC backbone is derivatized with a metal chelating molecule, and loaded with the appropriate metal atom; typically Zn or Cu. PGC-MB has been used to successfully formulate basal insulin with the characteristics of a truly once per day basal insulin treatment.

PGC-MB has been used to formulate Native Human Insulin, which has a high affinity for Zn ions.
